Our Los Angeles bus tours are filled with so many fan-favorite locations and landmarks, that it feels you’re experiencing multiple tours in one! When you arrive at the stop for the Venice Beach Tour, you’ll get to visit everything from The Boardwalk to Muscle Beach!
Here’s what you can expect to see on your tour of Venice Beach!
The Boardwalk: People watching is a popular activity at Venice Beach because the beach attracts such a colorful cast of characters. The boardwalk stretches for about 1.5 miles along the coast and attracts millions of visitors each year. The boardwalk is famous for its Bohemian spirit and diverse array of attractions, from fortune-tellers to handmade crafts. You can watch people skate, cycle, and play volleyball or basketball from a convenient perch on the boardwalk, which also provides breathtaking views of the Pacific.
Muscle Beach: While the original Muscle Beach was located in Santa Monica, that once-popular hotspot disappeared way back in the 1960s. Since then, a newer, better Muscle Beach has evolved at Venice Beach. You can watch chiseled men and women exercise from outside a building that’s appropriately shaped like a dumbbell, or you can watch the action sitting in the stands near the facility’s competition stage.
Venice Skate Park: Constructed in 2009, Venice Skate Park has quickly turned into one of California’s most iconic skateboarding hotspots. Situated mere steps from Venice Beach’s beautiful shore, Venice Skate Park boasts gorgeous, mature palm trees and some of the best skateboarding action you’ll find anywhere. Depending on when you visit, you may even see a skate video shoot firsthand!

Curious to know more about Venice Beach?
Here are a couple of fun facts to ponder during your Venice Beach excursion:
Beach History: Venice Beach was founded in 1905 by tobacco millionaire Abbot Kinney as a seaside resort town. Kinney designed the area to mimic Venice, Italy, complete with a network of canals. While many of the original canals were filled in during the 1920s to make way for roads, some historic canals still exist and can be explored today.
Skateboarding History: Venice Beach is considered one of the birthplaces of modern skateboarding. In the 1970s, the Z-Boys, a group of skateboarders from the area, revolutionized the sport by incorporating surfing techniques into their skating.
Geography: Venice Beach itself stretches along approximately 3 miles of the Pacific coastline. The beach area is part of the larger neighborhood of Venice, which covers about 3.1 square miles. The Venice neighborhood has a population of around 40,000 people, contributing to the vibrant and eclectic community atmosphere.

"A perfect way to see a lot of LA in one day. Comfy tour bus, small groups and friendly knowledgeable guides. Free bottled water throughout the day and fruit and juice at time of boarding. The guide and driver gave plenty of commentary as we drove around then gives you some free time to explore..."
George was a great tour guide, very accommodating! The tour was very informative and he took you to the “LA” sights. There was no rush at any of the stops! Would highly recommend this tour! Also they came directly to our hotel and picked us up in Anaheim, made it so easy!!
We chose them because of the rating, and maybe we had higher expectations.Pros:1. You see pretty much every touristy spot in LA in 8 hours2. The busses are modern3. Mike (I guess was his name) was a very positive and good vibe dude. Loved it. Too bad we didn't have the tour with him.4. Complementary water providedCons:1. It's not a guided tour. It's fairly similar to hop-on hop-off's as experience.2. The "tours" feel very rushed. For example:- In Venice Beach, you have to choose what you want to see. The canals or the Boardwalk or Gold'sGym. Can't do all in the time provided.- At the market, the same. If you take lunch, there is your time. You have no time remaining to stroll or see other things.3. John was mumbling very much, and it was really hard to follow what he said at all times. For parties of 2 or larger, I guess taking Uber/Lyft to all the spots would be cheaper than paying for this tour.I guess for parties of 4, there are far better solutions. In conclusion, I'm disappointed for the money spent, and I would definitely not recommend it and would not do it again.
Amazing tour! Joe really knows the area and enjoyed listening to him as you drive through the streets. The tour was well paced and the day flew by. Loved how the music matched where you were! Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Fabulous tour thoroughly enjoyed by all 6 of us. Monty was an amazing guide, knowledgeable and very entertaining.Extremely worth the money and would recommend to all coming to LA.Thank you
A perfect way to see the highlights of LA. Soooo much better than Hop on / Hop off option. Stephen was a brilliant guide having lived in LA all his life. Totally recommend this tour.
Tour was great! Plenty of time to get off and walk around. Michael was a very fun start to the day and Steven was an incredible tour guide and very knowledgeable. Would recommend!
Our tour guide, Joe was amazing! He’s a wealth of knowledge and entertaining. This was a great way to see all the big tourist spots with some time to wander around. Highly recommend. To note: have cash for tipping as they do not take cards.
We really enjoyed the information our guide gave us during the tour. The ride was comfortable and water was provided. Having time to explore at every stop was truly a bonus. We had a great time!
Our driver Raul was an excellent guide for the day and made our trip around Los Angeles even better.I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a taste of Los Angeles.
A Day in LA Tour was perfect! We spent the whole day being driven around saw every single sight we wanted to see and George our driver explained everything and narrated so many good stories and historical events! George was a great host! I highly recommend this tour , you will not be disappointed. We loved it!
Hits up all the best places in LA. Sightseeing, beaches, shopping center, food, (etc). Our guide STEVEN was great and truly cared for each person on the ride Funny, informative, and knowledgeable are all the things I had hoped for the guide to be, and I was not disappointed!! Highly recommend for those looking for more than just a simple tour.
We have had an amazing day sight seeing around some of the best spots we have seen while being here. As an added bonus we also got to learn some local history and amazing facts.Jeff Virkus was a brilliant tour guide, friendly and funny.Thank you so much.
An absolutely incredible tour of LA all in one day. So helpful, especially when you're only in LA for a few days, so you can see all the famous sights with travel costs of ubers or taxis cut way down, just by booking this tour. Not only that, but Jeff — tour guide extraordinaire — shared anecdotes of meeting famous people, the history of all the landmarks he drove us to, along with quizzing us playfully on our knowledge of pop culture by popping in a song and asking us who the artist was or asking which famous film won a certain Oscar in a specific year. We were taken along the Sunset Strip to Santa Monica and Venice Beach, Rodeo Drive, the Grove (and Farmer's Market), the Griffith Observatory (saw the Hollywood sign on the way), Dolby Theater and the Walk of Fame, and much more that was shown while we were riding on the bus. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants a crash course on LA and the history of: California, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and more!
Fantastic tour and tour guide! Not only did George provide fun facts with a great sense of humor, he was extremely helpful with my husband getting on and off the bus, who is disabled. All the locations were fun to visit and we had to enjoy each.
Great tour with many great stops! Our guide Steven was awesome - so knowledgeable, helpful and funny. A perfect way to see many hot spots in and near LA! Highly recommend.
Great day tour!! Hit all the fun spots! Jeanette our tour guide was fabulous! Water was provided. Perfect amount of time at each spot. Great air conditioned tour bus. Lots of walking so bring comfy shoes. Tour was definitely worth the money! We would highly recommend! Take lots of pictures! Memories made-that’s what’s most important!
This tour take you to famous spots of LA.The tour guide gives you lots of information in LA. It is a smooth and great experience. You can save the time doing research and renting cars.
Joe was a fantastic guide he made the tour super fun and full of laughter. He blended his knowledge of LA, its history and fun facts effortlessly. The bus was super clean and the free water was a nice surprise. Highly recommend!
We saw so amazing paces and our tour guide Jeff was so knowledgeable! We would 100% recommend this to anyone! Every minute was worth an all day tour! Book this now!
Great and informative tour! You get to see and do a lot of activities all over LA. Each stop is around 45 min. Would be nice if the stops were around an hour each. But otherwise it was a great tour and would recommend it, especially if you only have one day in LA.
It was a fun trip- George, our tour guide was very accommodating and full of interesting facts about the places we visited. He made the whole trip enjoyable, i will definitely recommend this trip to everyone who wants to visit LA, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and nearby beaches!!
This was a great tour of LA. We had plenty of time to see each spot and Colin was an amazing guide. He was polite, courteous and full of information. I would highly recommend him as your guide.
I had an amazing experience with Steven from Viator. As a first-time visitor, I was thrilled with how much we were able to see in such a short time. Steven ensured that we covered a lot of ground, making the most of our trip. Although I would have appreciated at least 45 minutes at both beaches to fully take in the scenery, the overall experience was still fantastic. Steven’s punctuality and professionalism stood out, and the car was comfortable, with plenty of water bottles provided throughout the journey. I highly recommend Steven and Viator to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable travel experience.
Very good tour touching all the mist important sights in LA. Raul was a fantastic guide with a lot of knowledge to share. We were given enough time to enjoy the places visited. I highly recommend this tour.
Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a tour of LA, visited all of our bucket lost spots and the tour bus was comfortable, especially with the A/C in the heat. Our Tour Guide Jeff was awesome, very knowledgeable and made the day very entertaining.
We had a great tour with Raul this week. He actually spends time as an actor so was able to point out some really cool things about Hollywood, and also grew up in the area, so was very knowledgeable both about the sites and navigating Los Angeles traffic. He kept the tour on time, and allowed enough time at each stop to take in the important things.
Had such a great tour day! They picked us up and dropped us off at out hotel. Communicated very well through entire process. Our guide was informative and funny! Saw all the sights!
Stephen was very informative and actively talked to us all and of course is experience with living there and working allOf his life helped out tremendously.
Very prompt service and knowledgeable tour guide. This tour is well worth the money. You get to see various parts of LA and learn some interesting facts. I highly recommend this toir.
We took the tour yesterday and really enjoyed it. It really was a Day in LA. We hit all the iconic locations we wanted to see while travelling in an air conditioned, moderately sized bus with leather seats. Collin our tour guide was great and gave us a lot of good tips. We parked in the 1540 2nd street parking garage ($30) which was right across from the valet stand where the bus boards. The checkin is right in front of a tony shopping court and just 3 blocks from the Santa Monica pier. Even if you have more time than a day (which is all we had) to spend in LA, it’s worth it.
We had a great day with Monty. Super knowledgeable and great fun. We covered a lot of ground over a whole day and learnt so much, truly eye opening! We saw all the sights and ended with a drive around beverly hills homes - quite a few had a story behind them! We were a party of five but the car was great - luxurious and roomy. I can’t recommend this tour enough!
Our tour guide Key was awesome!! She was very knowledgeable about the areas we went to. She made us laugh as we saw how beautiful her state was. She showed us other places to visit while here. Amazing job!! We will definitely take another tour with this company and you should too.
George was a great tour guide, he was very personable and very informative. As a first time visitor to the area, the tour was perfect to get a glimpse of well known LA spots.
What an absolutely amazing tour!!! Our guide was AWESOME and had lived in LA all her life and so knew it like the back of her hand. It is THE tour to do if you want to see all of LA in a day.. The Strip, Beverley Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Rodeo Drive, Melrose, Fox Studios, Paramount Pictures, Downtown Hollywood at the Farners Market, Griffith park and the Hollywood Sign and the Walk of Fane! My boys (16&12) loved it too!
Great tour. Well with the money. We chose the Anaheim pickup as we are coming from San Diego. Parking was easy as there is a lot next the pickup location at Atwell Street.
If you're touring Los Angeles I highly recommend you give “A Day in LA Tours” your business! They did an awesome tour! The tour guide was very knowledgeable (born & raise in LA). From hotel pickup to hotel drop off, the whole day was very well coordinated! Thank you A Day in LA Tours for an awesome day in LA!!
Jeannette was our driver. She was funny, knowlegable, caring, and I enjoyed her conversation. I would definitely take the tour again. Every stop had something to offer.
Great trip ! Great tour guide George .Pick up from from the hotel , visited Crypto Arena , Griffith Observatory, Walk of Fame , Beverly Hills , Farmers Market, Santa Monica and Venice Beach
Had a great time. Our Tour Guide Janette is Excellent - she provided historical and interesting info and facts on all the attractions we visited. She also has a great sense of humor. Enjoyed seeing Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach and more.
The ideal tour for us. We did this on the first day in LA because we didn't want to drive ourselves with jet lag. Driven to all important sights. Of course you only ever have short stays at the stations, but it was enough for us. We were picked up directly at the hotel and brought back again. We can only recommend the tour...
The day started off well, went well and ended well. Our tour guide/driver was on time, polite and professional. Jeanette is very knowledgeable and full of information regarding every place we visited. It was easy to realize that she is well versed in history and current eventsI can't imagine any other way to see and learn so much in one day on my own. It was a real joy to not worry about driving in L.A. traffic and dealing with parking. I sincerely think it is worth doing and highly recommend travelers to the L.A. area doing this. "A great day."
Had great tour, we received a text with pick up details the evening before and was collected on time the following morning from our hotel. From start to finish, our guide, Colin was excellent with facts and stories entertaining us along the way. This tour covers all the key points in LA that we wanted to see and made it a whole lot easier as we didn’t realise how spread out the stops were. Highly recommend this tour! Thanks
This is everything my family would have wanted to have seen on our own. But I didn’t have to hassle driving the car around in traffic and missing all the cool sites. I didn’t have to hassle with finding public parking. I just got to sit back and relax and enjoy this amazing experience with my wife and 3 kids. Plus the people we interacted with were fantastic. Michael picked us up at our hotel and couldn’t have been kinder, even with the terrible construction out front of the Hilton. And Key was our knowledgeable and friendly tour guide for the day. Our whole family was thankful for this tour as we were trying to see all the sites in a short time. I will definitely recommend this to any of my friends or family visiting Los Angeles!
Key was definitely the best tourist guide ever she was very knowledgeable about the history and culture at every place we stop during our “One day in LA Tour”I highly recommend to family, friends and colleagues!
We spent the day with Rahul, who was so knowledgeable about all of LA, he passed on so much history so even when we couldn’t stop, we knew the local story. You don’t get ages to roam about each place but… to do it in a day is absolutely perfect. We would never have seen so much without this. Memories for a lifetime. Thank you!!! X
Where should I start??? First of all they tell you to be at the meeting place at a certain time, you get there and the tour bus WAS LATE. MY party was the first to arrive, and did that matter? The bus driver called larger parties to board FIRST! If this is to be the case, they should've STATED that when I booked! Their boarding policies are PATHETIC!!
Great way to visit all the popular places in LA, with a driver who knows all the detours when there are closed roads! In the evening it's a bit long to get back because of the traffic but at least you don't have to drive so that's great! Our driver George was very enthusiastic and really knew a lot about LA and its surroundings, I recommend him!
We are a family of 6 (3A + 3C) and booked a "Day in LA - Private Tour". Our guide was Monty who picked us up directly from our hotel at the appointed time. The car was spacious and he had almost unlimited water that he provided to us through the day.As it was a private tour we were able to customize places we visited, but left it to Monty's guidance. We visited Santa Monica pier, Hollywood Hills (houses of celebrities), Venice Beach, Studios, Griffith Observatory, Walk of Fame etc etc. In certain places we were dropped off and had the flexibility to discover the area in our own pace.In each location the guide was able to provide quite a bit of history and context and other interesting facts. He also tailored the topic to cater to my kids (including the little ones). Moreover, he was knowledgeable enough to answer any additional questions we had and provide more information.Monty also shared tips and recommendations for restaurants and other locations we should visit while in LA. He was a great guide and host and would highly recommend this tour to anyone else visiting LA.
Great tour! I’ve been to LA numerous times, but never to Santa Monica, Venice Beach, or Griffith Park, and really enjoyed seeing them. I learned so much and enjoyed every minute. The tour guide, Key, was fabulous. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and look forward to visiting some of the places she told us about. Top tier tour!
What a terrific overview of the city. So many great selfies. Our guide Key was fun and super knowledgeable. Pickup and dropoff right at the hotel. What could be better! Highly recommend this tour!!!!!!
Our tour guy was great and was so informative of all the things we could possibly do, see or eat. The bus was air conditioned and roomy. We covered a lot of ground and anyone who hasn't been to LA this tour is a must. It gives you an idea of what you may want to explore more on your own.
We had a wonderful day. Best way to see all of the amazing things that LA/Hollywood have to offer. Never felt rushed. Never felt like we lingered too long in one place. Perfect.
Really good way to go around LA seeing the major sights. Tour guide/driver George was knowledgeable and entertaining. Trip was good value for money for a full day out. Highly recommended.

We hit all my bucket list places without having to worry about parking or directions. I would reccomend the full day tour, just make sure you wear comfortable shoes. We had a blast.
We loved our tour! Raul was our tour guide, he was helpful, knowledgeable, and just a a great guy. We got to see Santa Monica pier, Venice Beach, walk of fame, Griffith's observatory, Rodeo drive, plus so many other sights as we drove around LA that we wouldn't have seen otherwise...plus all the little facts and tidbits that Raul shared along the way. It was myself and 2 teenagers and we all had a good time. Would highly recommend to anyone.

She was very generous in sharing her local knowledge of the area.A fantastic personality, she was very funny with her anecdotes of the area. We felt like we parted as friends at the end of the day.Highly recommend this tour!
Our experience in LA was amazing! We only had one day to explore the city, but this tour was perfect for us as it allowed us to see all the iconic places. Our guide, Raul, was absolutely fantastic - he was very knowledgeable and a really nice guy. Although it was a long day, it was definitely worth it.
