Venice, Downtown LA and Universal City Day Tour Full Day Tour Overview
Love our current day tour? Love Los Angeles? Looking to explore more without having to find your way through the city and pay for parking every 5 minutes? Our newest day tour is for you! Just like our existing tour this will be perfect for families and all ages!
- The tour begins at 1400 Ocean Ave, Santa Monica, CA 90401. (In front of the Santa Monica visitors center)
- Head out of Santa Monica towards Westwood and UCLA
- Continue through to Beverly Hills to check out some of the stomping grounds of your favorite or least favorite celebrities
- Next we head to Miracle Mile where you will find lots of history and a large collection of museums
- We'll stop to give time to explore the La Brea Tar Pits, famous dig sites and Museum Row
- From there we take a drive over to Paramount Pictures Studios and Hollywood Forever Cemetery where some of the biggest stars from "Old Hollywood" are laid to rest
- Then up the Hollywood Bowl Overlook via Mulholland Drive, from here you will get amazing views of the city, Hollywood Bowl and of course the Hollywood Sign
- Then it's a short drive to Universal Studios City Walk for lunch, you'll have over 30 places to choose from for lunch and shopping
- After we're all full we head through the hip neighborhoods of Los Feliz, Silverlake and Echo Park
- While in Echo Park we swing by Angelino Heights to see a collection of Victorian Era homes including the house from Michael Jackson's Thriller video
- Next we head to Chinatown via Dodger Stadium
- Once Downtown we make a stop between Union Station and Olvera Street, the oldest street in Los Angeles where you'll find the oldest house in Los Angeles
- While we are Downtown we will see tons of filming locations, history, museums and theaters including the Walt Disney Concert Hall
- Also Downtown is City Hall where the "Occupy LA" protests took place
- We continue to wiggle through the Downtown area past The Standard Hotel, MOCA, Bunker Hill, The Financial District and of course LA Live and Staples Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers and reigning NHL Champion Kings
- As we put Downtown behind us we head back to the Hollywood area for a stop on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the world famous Dolby Theatre (formally Kodak) and the Grauman's Chinese Theatre
- We then make our way back to Santa Monica via West Hollywood and Century City, past Fox Studios
- Once back on the Westside of the city we will take a drive around the Marina Del Rey Harbor
- Our last stop of the day is the world famous Venice Beach Boardwalk, you'll get a chance to take in the colorful and eccentric sights and sounds. Artists, musicians, entertainers, body builders, celebrities and everyone in between can be found here. Also famous for countless tv shows, commercials and movies being filmed here
- We return to Santa Monica in time to hit the town for an evening out. Make sure to ask your guide for recommendations
