Our Rastabus tour with Brian was one of the highlights of our trip to LA. Our family was in town for the wedding of my nephew the following weekend and we thought a great way to start the week would be tour to see the highlights and get the lay of the land. We figure we could go back later in the week if we wanted more time at any one place. Chartering the whole bus for our group of 9 worked out better than expected. My sister in law's health is poor but your air-conditioned van on the 105F day was great - we were able to set the tour's pace to our schedule and getting picked up at our rental home in Altadena was awesome! I enjoyed the passenger seat and saved myself almost 2 hours of LA driving/parking that day! Our tour guide Brian was awesome. His stories of growing up in the area made it personable and his sense of humor really connected with my kids. On a rating scale I would give it a 5+ as it exceeded our expectations. Definitely would recommend to our friends - matter of fact we commented, more than once, how glad we were to be on your bus and not the ones we passed that were "cut-away" vans. The LA sun has a certain "intensity" and the 105F heat would have made on open air van tour unbearable. We asked about the "rastabus" history and Brian explained the missionary aspect/history. Several in my family have visited Guatemala and the bright colored bus with nations flags and currency pasted inside reminded me of our visits to central America - where we were "missionaries" so to speak to a strange land (not that LA is strange but being our first trip it was at least "new" to us) Brian gave us the choice of any music we wanted but we liked the reggae style music as it felt natural with the bus and the laid back, easy going demeanor of Brian. The price for our tour was a good value. Nothing's cheap in LA (especially the gas) but getting a whirlwind tour of the "major" highlights with a personalized tour guide in an air-conditioned bus was a great way to spend the day. You guys were very accommodating. You responded promptly to my email inquiry with a phone call (even apologizing for the time of the call once you realized I was in Ohio) and everything went as promised - we were picked up promptly, the bus was clean and comfortable and there were no surprises. If pressed to come up with one suggestion that our group would have used it would have been an iced-up cooler for our use. You told us that we could bring drinks on the bus but we didn't have time to find/purchase a disposable cooler. We stopped often enough that we were able to get cool drinks so it's not a complaint but having an iced up cooler that we could have used for our own refreshments would be the only improvement I could think of. I think the highlight of our trip was our tour guide Brian - his personal stories about the famous patrons at restaurants off PCH, the anecdotes about the movie star homes or stories of what he and his buddies did in high school gave it a personal touch. If pressed to come up with any "low" from the trip it would have to be either A - the LA heat wave or B - the traffic but we were in an air-conditioned bus and we didn't have to worry about the traffic so no complaints here! Everyone in our group would without hesitation recommend you and your crew to our friends. As a matter of fact when we shared the places we visited with our nephew and his finance that live in Hollywood that were impressed with how many "sights" we were able to visit and see in just one day. I appreciate your prompt response in getting back to me regarding the personal pick-up at our rental home and your suggestions for working that out. Keep up the good work and take care of your guides like Brian who add the personal touch and turn a "tour" into an adventure with a friend! chip
